R&L Dream Properties is a sponsor of multifamily property acquisitions. We are located in Atlanta, GA and focus primarily on acquiring properties in the southeast. Since we are located in Atlanta we tend to look primarily in the greater Atlanta consolidated metropolitan statistical area, but not exclusively.
Our company began in 2018 and was initially focused on residential reconstruction (house flipping) in the Chattanooga, TN area. Our plan from the beginning was to ultimately migrate into the commercial real estate space, specifically multifamily acquisitions. And after our relocation to Atlanta in March, 2021 that’s what we did.

Bios
Robert CooperManaging Member
Robert is the founder of R&L Dream Properties, LLC which was founded in 2018 in Chattanooga, TN. Robert was a Memphis State University (now University of Memphis) where he graduated with a BBA degree in Marketing Management in 1976. After college he joined the USAF where he served for 10 years as a Captain and a pilot where he flew both rotary and fixed wing aircraft. He graduated #1 in his class in both fixed wing and rotary wing flight schools. He became an instructor pilot and flight examiner pilot and was Assistant Chief Pilot at his last flight squadron. He was also an aircraft commander for C-141B aircraft and flew internationally, including during Desert Storm during which he earned an Air Medal. In helicopters he was trained for peacetime and combat search and rescue.
After the Air Force Robert opened his own business which was a Checkcare franchise that was located in Cleveland, OH. He grew the business to become one of the top franchises in the Checkcare franchise network. Checkcare is a check guarantee company for retailers who accept checks, but they also provide electronic check conversion and check collection services. He still owns the business, but due to the decline in check acceptance he is one of only three remaining franchisees.
As far as real estate is concerned Robert is a Realtor with licenses in Georgia and Tennessee. He’s also an alumni of FortuneBuilders which has exposed him to hundreds of hours of training in residential reconstruction (buy, fix, sell) along with the methods and systems for running a rehab business. In addition to that he’s received hundreds of hours of training in commercial property acquisitions and syndications. In early 2021 Robert decided to focus solely on commercial real estate, specifically focusing on apartment acquisitions.
Robert has a beautiful wife (Laura) and three grown daughters, and she has a grown son. He and Laura met in Chattanooga in 2012, later married and then relocated to Atlanta in 2021 where they had both lived prior to having met. She for 22 years and he for 12. They are both excited about the move and are looking forward to building an apartment portfolio.
